Domaine Singla Cuvée N°5 Rouge. Hailing from the sun-drenched slopes of Maury in the Roussillon region of Southern France, this 750ml bottle represents the pure, unadulterated vision of a family dedicated to biodynamic farming and minimal intervention.
The “N°5” refers to a specific parcel or batch selection, crafted primarily from old-vine Grenache Noir. Fermented spontaneously with native yeasts and bottled without fining or filtration, this wine is alive, vibrant, and authentic. Expect a luminous ruby color in the glass. The nose is an intoxicating mix of crushed red berries (raspberry, wild strawberry), garrigue herbs (thyme, rosemary), dried violets, and a subtle hint of white pepper.
On the palate, the Cuvée N°5 is light to medium-bodied with fine, silky tannins. Unlike heavy, oaked wines from other regions, this Rouge focuses on freshness, drinkability, and earthy complexity. It offers a juicy acidity that makes it dangerously easy to drink, with a long, mineral-driven finish.
Serving Suggestions:
Perfect with charcuterie boards, roasted poultry, duck confit, mushroom tartines, or lightly chilled during warm weather for a “vin de soif” experience. Serve slightly below room temperature (16-18°C / 60-65°F).
